Friday, November 6, 2009: Thirteen years ago the day after the state election when voters passed Proposition 215 and made medical marijuana legal in California. It has been momentous, a slow moving earthquake that is convulsing around the world.

Regular readers of my blog know that one of the problems that the U.S. and the world are facing is Obama’s severe case of Marijuana Deficiency Syndrome (MDS).

I was so overjoyed when I first heard about Obama’s statement regarding the prosecution of medical marijuana patients and caregivers that I started singing “Happy Days Are Here Again”. I was overjoyed that our Joints for Obama campaign had finally shown some results. As I understand it, the White House received over 10,000 joints.

The battle between myth and reason was the heart of the Renaissance, which ushered in the Age of Reason.

I bought a garden hose a couple months ago and when I detached the hose from the cardboard holder, I read the printed matter on the back, including this warning: CONTAINS LEAD. DO NOT DRINK WATER FROM THIS HOSE.

"Today's DEA arrest of Marc Scott Emery, publisher of Cannabis Culture magazine, and the founder of a marijuana legalization group, is a significant blow not only to the marijuana trafficking trade in the U.S. and Canada, but also to the marijuana legalization movement.... Drug legalization lobbyists now have one less pot of money to rely on." --Former DEA administrator Karen Tandy

The campaign to legalize marijuana is the most important progressive political movement in this country today.
