WHYPROHIBITION.CA - One of the most important activities we undertake as activists is planning protests and rallies. While getting the motivation to plan a protest is easy, finding the information about how to do it can be difficult.

CANNABIS CULTURE - The people of Nepal held an anti-prohibition rally in the capital Kathmandu on June 26, 2009. Organized by a young man named Sujan, the rally was made up of 30 cars, decorated with pro-legalization and anti-prohibition signs.

The following manuscript was brought to us by Chris Roze, the son of author Mary Anne Roze. Mary's diary chronicles her experiences with Multiple Sclerosis and how she began to use cannabis as a medicine. The diary was only edited for space, but the text is completely the words of Mary Anne Roze. -Ed

Activism

Last week, Dana Beal (an old Yippie friend of mine) and Norman Spinrad (an author who wrote a book that helped to inspire Yippie philosophy) and I were all on the phone together. Norman suggested that with legalization, police around the country would lose jobs, and perhaps measures to make marijuana legal or civilly regulated would be met with less opposition if they were still getting their cut in some way.

Chris Bennett is a pot activist, cannabis historian, and a longtime contributor to Cannabis Culture and Pot-TV, who has been fighting an ongoing battle with the Canadian government and courts over the religious use of marijuana.
