The last election special I’ll be hosting for sometime is taking place today (Thursday, Oct. 6) at Vapor Central. The Mernahuana Show is doing a Thursday night crossover with regularly scheduled Third Klass Comedy. It’s going to be interesting because comedians will add the necessary vibe that is actually found inside Queens Park. They’ll provide antics. I’ll provide the politics.

Dearest Jodie: That was a wonderful three day visit we just had, the only three day visitation weekend I'll have until Memorial Day next year, when you'll hopefully visit me again for the three day weekend. We took ten photographs today on Labor Day, and I'm hoping they turn out as well as we think they should. The next photo day is when you visit me on New Years Day, January 1st, 2012. By that day I'll be near the half-way mark of my sentence, and the downhill slide to my release day of July 9th, 2014 begins.

CANNABIS CULTURE - Help save Canada's cannabis culture and VOTE TODAY! A Conservative majority government would mean serious negative consequences for the marijuana community and the entire country. Vote today to stop Stephen Harper and the Conservatives.

Canadians go to the polls today with a clear choice: the failed and contemptuous policies of Stephen Harper's Conservatives, or the sweeping vision of a prosperous, respected and free Canada offered by Jack Layton and the New Democratic Party. I urge you all to vote and to be part of the change that is coming to Parliament.

Remember the Berlin Wall coming down in 1989? After 38 years, it just came down; no one predicted it. History was made by people making history, peaceful history, defying the powerful despots of East Germany. Then all the other Eastern European commissars and dictators were cast aside into the 'dustbin of history' within a year of that momentous but unanticipated event. Who knew the power of removing another brick from a wall?

Arizona's Proposition 203 to legalize medical marijuana in the state, which was just about written off as a "No" with slightly over 50% of the vote, still has a chance of passing according to the latest count of late ballots.

Before Marc was shipped from Seattle to a prison in southern Nevada (en route to his designated prison in Taft, California) he told me I should go to California to help the Proposition 19 campaign to legalize cannabis. He was excited for me to do phone calls, hold signs, and whatever else was needed to help Prop 19 win.

Cannabis Culture was in Oaksterdam for the historic vote on Proposition 19, the California ballot initiative to legalize marijuana. Though we lost the vote by less than 4%, it was an amazing experience to be so close to the action and take part in one of the most significant campaigns in cannabis history. Check out the photos I snapped on our trip:
