I received a letter on Facebook from a concerned mother whose son uses cannabis and has schizophrenia. She asked me to tell young people that cannabis is bad for their mental health. While some cannabis proponents would tell her she's "wrong, ignorant, misinformed" etc., I chose to provide a calm, rational and honest rebuttal that should encourage her to look for the truth herself.

This one is hard to believe: The US Forest Service issued a warning last week to beware of campers in national forests who eat tortillas, play Spanish music, and drink 'Tecate' beer because they might be armed and dangerous marijuana growers.

My mentor and very close friend Marc Emery is on a farewell tour of Canada before he turns himself in at the US/Canada border on September 19 and pleads guilty to trafficking marijuana. He is expected to spend at least five years in a US Federal prison.

Canada's Prince of Pot, Marc Emery, has less than a month of freedom remaining before he heads to the US border to be handcuffed and escorted to federal court in Seattle, where he will accept a plea bargain and probable five-year prison sentence for selling marijuana seeds over the Internet.
