Canadians go to the polls today with a clear choice: the failed and contemptuous policies of Stephen Harper's Conservatives, or the sweeping vision of a prosperous, respected and free Canada offered by Jack Layton and the New Democratic Party. I urge you all to vote and to be part of the change that is coming to Parliament.

Michael Ignatieff has smoked pot. The Liberal leader faced two questions Wednesday morning from high school students wanting to know what he would do about legalizing marijuana.

Before the Soviet Union fell in 1991, the two nicknames it was given were “The Iron Curtain” and “The Reds.” As propaganda, there were slogans like “Better Dead Than Red” and “Red Dawn” which were used to bring fear to Americans that the US was about to be invaded by the Soviet Union.

CANNABIS CULTURE - This year's 4/20 rally in Vancouver was arguably the largest in size and scope the city has ever seen. It was also the most political, with organizers and speakers focused on one important message: voting Stephen Harper and Conservatives out of power in the May 2 federal election.
