CANNABIS CULTURE - Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper answered questions this evening in a YouTube-sponsored poll and interview where marijuana was the #1 issue. As expected, the PM rehashed the same old tired arguments in defense of his destructive cannabis policies.

The federal Justice Department pays to help publicize leading criminal justice research that frequently discredits the Conservative government’s “tough-on-crime” agenda.

Dear Mr. Obama and Mr. Harper, the Internet has spoken and the message is clear (in all caps): END MARIJUANA PROHIBITION!

I guess we can debate whether Rahim Jaffer broke the law and by how much. But what's really interesting is the reaction now emerging from his fellow Conservative Party colleagues.

Though crime rates are falling, Canada's Conservative government is planning "major construction initiatives" to the country's prison system and has released spending estimates showing a 43 per cent increase in penitentiary capital costs.
