Tommy Chong visits Vancouver for the International Film Festival screening of the documentary, A/K/A Tommy Chong.

This issue marks the tenth anniversary of Cannabis Culture magazine. Our first issue was dated April 1995, and we've experienced a lot of challenges, changes and surprises over the past 10 years.

As I write this editorial it is only a few weeks since George W Bush was re-elected as President of the United States.

The year in review, from highs to lows. Find out what we have done for you lately.

As I write this editorial, many of my friends and loved ones in the cannabis community are in jail, or facing the likelihood of going there.

Philosophers say that change is the only constant in life. Which is why, despite nearly 10 years of writing and editing Cannabis Culture, I am still often surprised by the changes and developments in the pot culture and the war on marijuana.

Looking back over the 50 issues we have produced, I am reminded of how much things have changed for us in Canada, how much we have accomplished, and how many successes the marijuana movement has enjoyed over the last decade.

After almost 10 years of producing this magazine, and pushing for changes to the marijuana laws, sometimes it can be hard to see what we have really accomplished in terms of liberating our culture.

As members of the global cannabis culture, we live in very interesting times, and we have unique insight and perspective into world events.
