The best way to keep your stash is to place the dried marijuana in a glass or metal container. Thermal plastic is also suitable. If possible, the package should be vacuum packed. Mason jars make ideal containers. The containers should be placed in a frost-free freezer. The buds will stay fresh indefinitely under these conditions.
Notice that I did not mention manicuring the buds before packaging. They will stay fresher if they are dried and packaged unmanicured if there is heavy leaf on them. This leaf will protect the bud and keep the glands intact.
Don’t stuff the packages too tight or the glands may be knocked off the bud. A quart jar holds about an ounce comfortably. Open each jar as needed. Then keep it in the refrigerator or freezer.
