CANNABIS CULTURE – Watch Cannabis Culture News LIVE for the latest news and views on pot politics and the marijuana community. In this episode: Election Time in Canada! Stephen Harper and the Conservatives have been found in contempt of Parliament and an election has been called for May 2, 2011. Harper is the Canadian cannabis community’s Enemy #1 and must be voted out!
The Harper Conservatives hate marijuana users and the cannabis culture, and have been doing everything they can to make the laws more harsh by bringing in MANDATORY MINIMUM jail sentences for non-violent cannabis offences. This government may be the most regressive and dangerous our country has ever seen, and we must do everything we can to VOTE THE CONSERVATIVES OUT or at least remove the chance of a Conservative Majority Government.
GET OUT AND VOTE on MAY 2, 2001!
Cannabis Historian Chris Bennett and activist Jacob Hunter join CC Editor Jeremiah Vandermeer on the show to discuss the upcoming Election and assess the damage already done by Harper and his Conservative Party.
Chris discusses his new CC article “Saint Stephen and the Theo-Cons vs. The Devil’s Weed”, about Harper’s pot-hating religion and his motivations for erasing the cannabis culture.
Jacob talks about how you can help make a difference this election and help remove Harper from power – go to WhyProhibition.ca for more information about getting involved in political activism.
Jodie Emery joins the show to give us the latest on her husband, Prince of Pot Marc Emery, who is currently serving a 5-year prison term in the US for selling marijuana seeds on the Internet.
