Pharmaceutical drug-sellers in the northern city of Kano are fighting moves by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) to close their businesses as it tries to clamp down on counterfeit drug sales in Nigeria.

It’s been tried before in Florida and failed. But this week, an advocacy group is working on a new way to make medical marijuana legal in the state. The group wants to get the drug reclassified as a less dangerous substance, a path they’re hoping will lead to doctors being able to prescribe it in Florida.

Recently, the Michigan Attorney General's office filed a formal complaint with the Licensing and Regulation Division (LARA), alleging that a physician failed to require patients to produce medical records and "failed to maintain those records," prior to and after recommending patients for medical marijuana.
