CANNABIS CULTURE - For the latest news on Marc Emery, CCHQ, and Canada's cannabis community, watch new episodes of The Jodie Emery Show each week on Cannabis Culture.
The majority of Canadians want B.C.'s self-proclaimed ‘Prince of Pot' to return north of the border to serve his prison sentence for marijuana offences, according to a recent survey.
Cannabis historian Chris Bennett appeared on the second LIVE episode of "Weed This Week" to discuss the religious and spiritual use of cannabis and the recent controversy over comments from NORML about Minister Roger Christie.
Dearest Jodie: Last Thursday at 10am in Nevada Southern Detention Centre, a guard said, "Emery, roll up!", which meant I was outbound. I was taken with about 100 others to a series of tiny cells, where I waited until 3am (17 hours) to be chained with leg irons and handcuffs secured to a chain around my stomach, then put on a bus to Las Vegas airport.
On the first episode of my cannabis news show "Weed This Week LIVE" I talked about the ups and downs of latest efforts to reform marijuana laws across the United States, was joined by Princess of Pot Jodie Emery to discuss the latest on her husband Marc's 5-year prison term in the USA, and got really high. Tune in to CC on Friday's at 4pm PST for new LIVE episodes.
Before Marc was shipped from Seattle to a prison in southern Nevada (en route to his designated prison in Taft, California) he told me I should go to California to help the Proposition 19 campaign to legalize cannabis. He was excited for me to do phone calls, hold signs, and whatever else was needed to help Prop 19 win.
Cannabis Culture was in Oaksterdam for the historic vote on Proposition 19, the California ballot initiative to legalize marijuana. Though we lost the vote by less than 4%, it was an amazing experience to be so close to the action and take part in one of the most significant campaigns in cannabis history.
