The demand for medical marijuana in Germany has skyrocketed since it was legalised in March last year, placing a greater burden on the country’s health insurance providers to cover the cost of prescriptions.
Portugal’s influential Doctors’ Association called for the legalization of marijuana-based medicines on Thursday, the same day parliament started to debate a draft bill that goes even further in seeking to allow patients to grow pot at home.
With its low-THC and high-CBD products already on sale in Switzerland and France – and soon the UK – Swiss business CBD420 are keen to see clearer regulation around the supply of cannabis.
