New Jersey has licensed 14 new marijuana businesses, bringing a long-awaited expansion of the state’s medical marijuana program that exceeds original plans.
The initiative for the legalization of medicinal and therapeutic cannabis, as well as for the industrial production of hemp in Costa Rica, was ready this Thursday for a vote in the plenary session of the Legislative Assembly.
Executive Director Sarah Gersten believes that the work of Last Prisoner Project is particularly timely, given the shifting societal attitudes surrounding cannabis use.
“Jobs in the cultivation sector include some of the highest-paying positions in the industry, yet we also see vast opportunities for entry-level candidates.”
