We all know more and more states are legalizing marijuana every year in the United States. But that doesn’t mean we’re all well-informed on exactly when legalization actually occurred in those states.
Steven Hoffman, a veteran corporate executive who opposed the legalization of marijuana, was named Thursday as chair of the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission, a new agency charged with ushering in an era of legal pot commerce.
While much of the marijuana news has focused on potential federal interference with legalized marijuana and California joining the ranks of legal recreational marijuana states
“It’s a boom town,” says entrepreneur Richard Huang, describing the legal cannabis industry, “but it’s not a gold rush, where just any fool can strike it big.”
Oregon’s governor and the head of the state police defended the state’s legal marijuana industry in letters to U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who has been hinting at a crackdown on states such as Oregon that have legalized cannabis in defiance of federal law.
We ought to listen to moms. They often know more than we do, do more than we know, and we all know more than a few who would give their lives for their families.
