Come out and protest the Conservatives dangerous Bill C-10, legislation that will cost billions of dollars and put thousands of non-violent marijuana users behind bars.

If you are in the neighbourhood, stop by CCHQ at 307 W. Hastings before the event and grab a protest sign (but make sure you give it back to us) before heading over to Science World the Telus World of Science, or whatever the heck they’re calling it this year.

I agree 100% – the grey men are in charge – for the time being.

The only thing that prevents me from becoming totally depressed is the knowledge that this too will pass, and when it does the grey men will be gone forever.

The Harper Conservatives are completely out of control now. They have blatant disregard for the law. Tony Clement is able to rob taxpayers of billions of dollars and walk. He paid people thousands of dollars to move one piece of furniture from one spot to another. Harper and Nicholson claim they want to get “tough on crime”. Well, They should start with the big time criminals, their own Party members. Who cares about people growing a few Cannabis plants when we have our own politicians robbing the public coffers blind? Then we have Health Canada blatantly interfering with international commerce, calling completely legal research chemicals drugs and acting like they’re in the CDSA when they aren’t.

Robbing the taxpayers, arbitrarily interfering with their international shipments, what’s next? If this is the start of their majority government, what will the middle and end be like? I can’t believe that the Canadian public is allowing this to happen. What a pathetic excuse for a democratic country. I literally despise everything about my own government and am ashamed to call myself a Canadian. There’s nobody to save us from the evil selfish lunatics. Ignatieff was the best we could muster. Now it’s that pretty face on a stick Bob Ray. What the hell’s that guy gonna do? We are frigging doomed to probably decades of misery. The government is so far removed from the common people of this country that they are still singing Richard Nixon’s song of “marijuana madness” regularly on every news program. The nation is ready to move ahead with sensible drug legislation and they all sound like they just fell off a 1967 cabbage truck. They don’t really live in “Canada”, they live in “decadent government salary and pension land”, where everything is completely different from the rest of the Canadian citizenry. In that place all that matters is doing whatever is necessary to get on the payroll, whether it be buying votes with our own money or pandering to paranoid old biddies by telling them they are going to clean up the streets. Problem is, the real criminals aren’t on the streets. They’re in plush government offices spending our money on themselves and their friends. I am sick of these useless and actually dangerous turds.
