Freshly Baked, a Taunton-based cannabis microbusiness that is veteran-owned, on Friday afternoon became the first Massachusetts cannabis business authorized to deliver products.
The state Cannabis Control Commission issued Freshly Baked a notice authorizing the business to commence operations as early as Tuesday. That makes Freshly Baked the first licensee to receive authorization to start delivery service in Massachusetts, the commission tweeted.
Earlier Friday, the regulatory board had announced that equity applicants can now apply for pre-certification or for licensure with the marijuana delivery operator license. That license type allows for companies to purchase, warehouse and then sell and deliver cannabis products.
