Despite the state legalizing medical cannabis five years ago, the Brevard County School Board voted 3-2 to terminate Allison Enright from her position at Space Coast Junior/Senior High School.
In 2019, the school district adopted a policy that allows for students to consume medical cannabis, but teachers were not included.
