More than 200 people took part in the annual 4/20 rally in support of the legalization of marijuana.
For some, the rally was a celebration but for others it was a sign that more needs to be done legally and educationally with respect to marijuana.
“It’s a celebration for sure,” said Brit Mitchell, president of the Brantford Cannabis Club, organizers of the 4/20 rally. “We’ve made some progress but we still have a long way to go.
“People shouldn’t be arrested for possessing pot and really I’d like to see an end to the stigma surrounding pot use.”
