CANNABIS CULTURE – An ongoing series from Cannabis Culture regarding the applicability of UNDRIP “traditional medicine” rights of Indigenous people to the use and the economies of psychoactive and psychedelic plant drugs. 

THERAPSIL – At the end of November, TheraPsil will be going to Parliament Hill in Ottawa to meet with MPs and the Ministers of Health, Jean-Yves Duclos & Carolyn Bennett to request that regulations for access to medical psilocybin are granted without delay.

CBD, short for cannabidiol, is one of the 200 different substances (cannabinoids) that can be extracted from the cannabis plant – the other most common being THC.

CANNABIS CULTURE – Born and raised in Prince George’s County, Maryland, Hope Wiseman is passionate about her community. A graduate of Spelman College, where she received a Bachelor’s in Economics. She is now a trailblazer for women of color wanting to enter the emerging market of medical cannabis.

CANNABIS CULTURE – On many drug addiction programs, “abstinence” is the keyword. The reasoning? Perhaps something akin to “Using cannabis keeps you in a drug-using environment, and potentially makes you susceptible to using other drugs (gateway theory). Also, cannabis is a drug, and you cannot use drugs to get off other drugs.”
