CANNABIS CULTURE - My last blog left off with two high hopes: I wanted to get on the Rhode Island Republican Presidential Primary Ballot as a Ron Paul Delegate to the Republican National Convention this August in Tampa, and I also wanted to see the decriminalization of small amounts of marijuana for adults in RI. I'm thrilled to report that both my hopes materialized – with a bit of a Rhode Island twist of course!

I wish I could take credit for the catchy demand titling my blog today; however, it was a phrase I heard in my car driving home from work on a RI Talk Radio station, WPRO.

I traveled the weekend of October 28 – 30 to visit Marc Emery in the "Medium Security" prison he's being held at in Yazoo City, Mississippi. Marc gets out in July 2014 with his good time credit.

On May 24 I testified during a Rhode Island Senate Judiciary Committee Hearing on S0270, the Marijuana Decriminalization bill.
Activism

January 4th, 2011 we in Rhode Island had a special WaterFire torch lighting ceremony in Downtown Providence to commemorate the inauguration of Governor-elect Lincoln Chafee, State Attorney General-elect Peter Kilmartin, Secretary of State A. Ralph Mollis, Lt. Gov. Elizabeth H. Roberts, and General Treasurer-elect Gina Raimondo.

Our campaign to hand out FREE MARC EMERY waterbottles and information at the Rally To Restore Sanity and/or Fear was a huge success thanks to the hard work of a small but dedicated group of volunteers. This blog will show you what can be accomplished when just a few people work together, and hopefully inspire you to invent your own campaign against the failed drug war.
