Mum Whose Son Died From Cancer Calls For Better Access To Medicinal Cannabis

A mum who spearheaded the fight to legalise medicinal cannabis in Australia after her son was diagnosed with terminal cancer says the fight is far from over and better access is needed.

Lucy Haslam’s 20-year-old son Daniel died from cancer in 2015, the year before cannabis was legalised in Australia for medical purposes.

During chemotherapy, he could not eat or sleep, until Haslam procured some cannabis oil for him.
