Mala Muñoz is a proud marijuanera. Reclaiming the Spanish slang word for a female pot smoker, the Los Angeles-based writer, comedian, and producer spent most of 2020 quarantined alone in her Southern California apartment with just her dog, a pair of roller skates, and mota (weed) to keep her company. After months of social isolation and a few too many joints alone, Muñoz wanted to reconnect with other smokers, so she combined her love of cannabis and comedy to create Marijuanera: a Podcast for Potheads.
