Stephen Baldwin is the Sarah Palin of the Drug War

Since the last US presidential election, Sarah Palin has come to epitomize what I see as a major flaw in modern conservative politics. To me, there has been no better example to date (George W. Bush is a close second) of the Ignorant leading the Emotional.

Palin is a symbol of reactionary, gut-based politics and has a long list a gaffes and ridiculous statements under her belt that many feel have contributed significantly to the demise of the Republican Party.

Actor turned media loudmouth Stephen Baldwin is the Sarah Palin of the Drug War. Watch this debate between Baldwin and Quentin Hardy of Forbes magazine on CNBC.

Wow. Brilliant arguments Stephen!

While politicians and media personalities like Palin and Baldwin succeed in whipping up support from their die-hard supporters – by representing their side so poorly, their mindless arguments actually give their opponents a boost.

I have a feeling if Stephen Baldwin became the poster boy and public face of the prohibitionists, all drugs would be legalized in a few months!
