Former Minnesota Governor, Navy Seal, and Pro Wrestler Jesse Ventura is back on the airwaves calling for the legalization of marijuana.
“You either read and study history or you’re destined to repeat it,” Ventura told Geraldo Rivera on Fox News. “We’re repeating it,” he said, drawing a comparison to alcohol prohibition of the 1920s. “When you prohibit something, it doesn’t mean it’s going away, it just means it’s going to be run by criminals now, because it’s not above board. The criminals eventually get so wealthy they become more powerful than the government, which is a great deal of what’s happening in Mexico right now.”
The former WWF wrestler, who used to go by the name ‘The Body’, now joking calls himself ‘The Mind’. Jesse’s new book Don’t Start the Revolution Without Me! is now available in paperback.
I’ve gotta give props to Geraldo, who also took a trip to Oaksterdam and reported on medical marijuana in California.
