I usually don’t discuss individual products, but this product is so unusual that I thought readers would be interested in it.
I don’t know anyone who has used one of these gardens. However, I found the product very interesting. It is a stainless steel drum 40 inches long and 48 inches wide. Trays holding four-inch rockwool cubes are held inside the drum so that the plants point inward. In the center of the drum there are two air-cooled 600-watt Hortilux HPS lamps. The drum revolves once an hour, day and night. Set up, the device holds 168 plants in an area about five-feet x four feet and 5-1/2 feet high. The plants grow short and squat because of the “exercise” they get from being held sideways or upside down for a good part of the day.
The company claims the entire device is plug-in ready. It comes with a one-year warranty and retails for $3995(U.S.). For more information, check out their website.
