Light pollution

During the flowering stage, plants are supposed to have a period of total darkness each day. How exact does it have to be? In my closet there are small vents in the doors and a little light gets through. When inside the closet, it looks dark, but not pitch black.

Fix those holes in the door with an opaque material. Light pollution is insidious. It may not stop the plant from flowering, but may affect the quality of the bud by giving the plant mixed signals.

Buds that are affected by light pollution grow in thin strips or clusters along the stem. They never become dense.
