The gentle hills and early summertime charm of Eastern Tennessee, long a prime region for medicinal herbs, will be the locale for the First Annual Free Choice Festival held in Sweetwater, Tennessee on the weekend of June 24th and 25th, 2000.
Tennessee Cannabis Action Network, one of many grassroots activistic coalitions doing hardcore direct action and festival organizing across North America, is working hard to put together a safe, fun and informative rally on 25 acres of private land near Knoxville, Tennessee. The festival site is within easy distance of a major interstate, and organizers are not expecting severe cop action to hamper the event or highway transit to it.
The festival will feature an electic mix of music, camping, vendor’s booth, activism, and other entertainment. Many national and international musical acts are auditioning for the festival stage, and and an interesting and exciting blend of vendors, programs and speakers are planned to keep visitors in a 4:20 mood.
Festival organizers appreciate inquiries from anyone intersted in attending the free weekend. They are also hoping to receive fiscal and logistical support.
