On Novermber 2, Maine voters legalized the use of marijuana for medicinal purposes. Ballot Question 2 asked “Do you want to allow patients with specific illnesses to grow and use small amounts of marijuana for treatment, as long as such use is approved by a doctor?”
61% of voters backed the initiative, which allows anyone with AIDS, cancer, glaucoma, seizures or muscle spasms to possess pot with their doctor’s approval. The amount is limited to 1.25 ounces of dried buds and six plants, of which only three may be mature.![]()
