South City Keeps Eyeing Commercial Pot Options

With legal recreational marijuana business opportunities lingering over the state, South San Francisco officials are continuing to examine whether to embrace the growing industry.

The South San Francisco City Council held Monday, Sept. 11, its most recent study session in a series of talks designed to facilitate crafting local policies regulating pot business allowed under Proposition 64.

While Mayor Pradeep Gupta said officials collectively agreed during the meeting over a need to dig deeper into the issue, he is coming around to the possibilities presented through the recreational drug industry.
