CANNABIS CULTURE – Watch Cannabis Culture News LIVE for the latest news and views on pot politics and the marijuana community. In this episode: We talk to activists in Washington State about simultaneous ballot initiative campaigns to legalize marijuana.
Cannabis Culture editor Jeremiah Vandermeer interviews Alison Holcomb, Campaign Director of New Approach Washington, about I 502, her group’s ballot initiative. 502 now has enough signatures to appear on the ballot before voters in November, but has come under fire from critics who say it doesn’t go far enough and runs the risk of abuse by law enforcement.
Douglas Hiatt of Sensible Washington will join the show to voice his concerns about I 502 and the New Approach campaign.
Washington activist Don Skakie jons us to talk about another bill fighting to make it on the ballot, the Cannabis Child Protection Act (no number yet).
Activist Mimi Meiwes joins the program to outline another bill competing for ballot space, the Washington Safe Cannabis Act (I 1208).
Activist and art dealer David Malmo-Levine will also visit the studio to show off a cannabis artifact from the Herb Museum in downtown Vancouver (in the same building as Pot TV, Cannabis Culture Magazine, CCHQ and the BCMP Lounge – 307 W. Hastings Street).
