After the last two blogs I decided it’s best to discuss disadvantages of autoflowering marijuana strains before accusations of bias are hurled. Some of the claims against autoflowering strains are a wee outdated, but I’ll discuss them. There are numerous disadvantages growers will cite as their reasons for not planting autoflowering seeds and it’s worth discussing their points to provide people a full understanding of the advantages and disadvantages. 1. Lower Yields

Autoflowering marijuana strains are a serious joy to grow. It’s easy to fall in love with growing these unique strains and I haven’t come across many that are too challenging or finkey. Whether a strain is easy or difficult doesn’t play a role in touching my heartstrings because there are few difficult ones that I adore, but continue to grow.

There are numerous advantages to growing autoflowering marijuana strains that are often overlooked by traditional growers. Based on the success of my last blog, Why I Love Autoflowering Marijuana Strains, I’m going to try to write less passionately and more convincingly for this piece about these unique strains. 1. Get Shorty

CANNABIS CULTURE - It's going to be a good trip. I'm headed to Irun, Spain for Expogrow 2014 and preparing for the long flight by getting highly medicated on grinder kief: Expogrow is a marijuana and hemp trade show that takes place in the small Spanish town of Irun.

CANNABIS CULTURE - I'm honoured, and very happy, to be asked to blog for Cannabis Culture. Thanks so much to Jeremiah and Jodie for this opportunity! I believe that drug policy reform is one of the most important political issues in Canada and the world today, but I have never had the chance to talk about it with more than a few people at a time.

The number of postings by Craigslists’ weed dealers that use "420" as code for the friendly stranger has gone up dramatically since The Mernahuana Zone purchased pot live during the weekly webcast. One brave dealer was offering 420 Shatter, but most remain committed to slinging cannabis.

TMZ producer Chris Goodwin sped up last week’s amazeball segment of 420 Bud Swap to 1.5x speed and if you’ve never seen this weekly segment on The Mernahuana Zone, I highly recommend watching the sped up edition.  420 Bud Swap allows enthusiasts to act like sports general managers and trade their cannabis for someone’s elses’. This past week TMZ had an epic board with a variety of bud, shatter and bubble hash. The segment went a remarkable twenty five minutes, but the sped up edition knocks ten minutes off.

Suspended RCMP officer Ron Francis, who uses legal medical marihuana to treat his PTSD, was interviewed via Skype for weekly weed webcast The Mernahuana Zone. The webcast is livestreamed from bring your own cannabis lounge Vapor Central and hosted by popular marijuana advocate and journalist Matt Mernagh.

Vapor Central has never been so quiet during a livestream of The Mernahuana Zone. Jaws dropped, eyes popped out, and the silence was unreal as retired marijuana smuggler Brian O’Dea wowed the weekly weed webcast’s audience. When your last run involves 75 tonnes of cannabis, you clearly receive beyond classroom like respect.  Unfortunately cannabis history 101 isn’t an elective yet, but celebrating our past is crucial part of ending prohibition.

The random marijuana buy is possibly the most stressful transaction some stoners are ever going to make because there’s plenty of fear around meeting a friendly stranger to buy ganja. Mostly around getting ripped off, but a few folks worry the police are going to sting them for a $40 sack. Police handouts (where cops sell a pothead a wee bit of pot) are not common in Toronto for cannabis. Afterall the police are the trafficker and purchaser is the possessor.

CANNABIS CULTURE - If they aren't afraid of you they just ignore you, right? That means Stephen Harper's Conservative Party must be getting nervous about Marc and Jodie Emery. What else can account for this official Conservative Party of Canada Facebook post and image?

Lawyer, NORML Canada Ontario director and friend Paul Lewin will be on The Mernahuana Zone Tuesday July 8 to discuss a recent Ontario Superior court ruling allowing hydro company’s to snitch on growers. We’ve talked about this case on TMZ that involves a Hamilton couple who were ratted out by their hydro company.

Canadian marijuana smuggler Brian O’Dea calls out legal cannabis investors over their responsibility to freeing people in prison for pot. In a recent DopeChef YouTube report he talks about giving a presentation to investors looking to score it big in Canada’s legal marijuana industry.

Prime Minister John A. MacDonald was a drunkard and look at what he accomplished. The Mernahuana Zone doesn’t know much about national railroads, but we do know plenty about Canadian reefer madness. Celebrate Canada Day (Tues July 1) with cannabis and Canada’s cannabis history.
