Pot activist Marc Emery told a Vancouver business licence hearing yesterday that he was transferring control of his Cannabis Culture Headquarters to his wife, Jodie Emery.

“She is an exemplary person and she’ll be an excellent business person,” said Marc Emery, who was at city hall for a third day to appeal the city’s rejection of his business licence renewal.

Montreal is definitely her favorite Canadian city so far after 19 cities.

A big ole jet airliner is going to take us to Vancouver at 8.20 eastern, back at work at the CCHQ by 1 pm Saturday. Then we leave for Kamloops Sunday morning. Hear me speak in KAMLOOPS at the Bandshell in Riverside Park on Monday from 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm!

Holsten, who faces eviction at the end of the month because she smokes marijuana inside her East Vancouver suite, was yesterday given a vapourizer by pot activist Marc Emery and his wife, Jodie. Emery and his wife dropped the $750 German-made Volcano Vaporizer off at Holsten's suite on East 8th Avenue and she wasted no time in putting it to use.

B.C. Green leader Jane Sterk said if cannabis was legalized, there might not be a gang war going on around the Lower Mainland. Sterk was speaking with The Province after the release of her party's platform for the May 12 provincial election, which calls for the legalization of cannabis, among its 500 ideas.

"The war on drugs is a colossal failure," Sterk said Friday. "It's illogical to do something that has been such a failure."
