Forest Whitaker is sure to shock fans of jazz crooner Louis Armstrong by focusing on "Satchmo"'s love of marijuana in his next movie.

The "Crying Game" star will star as Armstrong and direct the biopic in 2011, and he insists he won't be shying away from the most controversial aspects of the "We Have All the Time in the World" singer's life.

Rapper Juvenile Arrested for Pot Possession

Juvenile's time in the studio was interrupted by a trip to jail on Thursday. The New Orleans rapper was in a house that he uses as a recording studio in St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana, when police stopped by to investigate an anonymous tip that the smell of marijuana smoke was coming from the house.

Police say that when they arrived, they could smell the smoke from as far as 10 feet away. When Juvenile's producer Leroy Edwards, 42, opened the door, the authorities say they were greeted with a cloud.

Mexican Musicians Face Jail for Songs Glorifying Drug Trafficking

A new proposal by Mexico's ruling party could result in musicians being sent to prison for performing songs that glorify drug trafficking.

The proposed legislation would mean sentences of up to three years for people performing or producing songs or films that glamorise criminals.

"Society sees drug ballads as nice, pleasant, inconsequential and harmless – but they are the opposite," Oscar Martin Arce, a National Action party MP, told the Associated Press.

Lil Wayne Detained After Police Find Marijuana On Tour Bus

Lil Wayne and an entourage travelling with him through Texas were detained by authorities on Friday after U.S. Border Patrol agents found marijuana on the rapper's two tour buses.

They were released after being held for several hours; some members of Wayne's crew received citations, but Wayne did not, an attorney for the rapper told TMZ.
