Hempseed industry sets sites on Tazmanian development

The Australian state of Tasmania is being touted as a potentially major producer in the world's developing edible hempseed market.
Hemp is currently grown in Australia, but it's illegal to use it for food products. The Queensland-based Australian Hemp Resource and Manufacture and the London-based Hemp Food Industries Association have been lobbying for a removal of the ban.

They met with Tasmanian State officials in February, and have been touring the country to promote the hemp food industry.
