A study in the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry, showed that THC is effective in the reduction of tics among those suffering from Tourette syndrome. A double-blind placebo-controlled study with 24 Tourette patients, conducted at the Medical School of Hannover, Germany, showed that THC produced significant reduction of tic severity.
This mirrors the results of two earlier short-term studies in THC for tics. Researchers concluded that their results "provide more evidence that THC is effective and safe in the treatment of tics."
