There is a video called "The Pharmacratic Inquisition" that talks about all of these things in detail. Definitely worth watching if you are interested in these subjects and how they influence culture. Funny how most people today don't really know very much about the things they celebrate. I would argue that it is somewhat pointless to be a culture without knowing its origins, especially considering how much it has become skewed and twisted from its original meaning.
