Blackout for flowering

Will turning the lights off for a day speed up flowering?

If you turn off the lights for 24 hours and keep the plants in darkness at the start of the 12/12 flowering cycle does it make the plants bloom faster?

Many growers claim that starting the flowering cycle with a 24-hour or 36-hour blackout period speeds up flowering by three to four days and forces the plant into flowering more quickly. I haven't tried this technique, nor have I seen any controlled experiments using it, so I withhold judgment. Readers, do you have any experience with a blackout period before forcing flowering? Write me and tell me how it turned out.
