Cannabinoid colonics

Cannabinoids found to help "colonic propulsion"

A study published in the July issue of the journal Gastroenterology found that the cannabinoid receptor system helps regulate "colon propulsion." The study showed that a natural endocannabinoid and another synthetic cannabinoid both inhibited colonic propulsion in mice. Conversely, a cannabinoid blocker produced "increased motility."
The researchers also found high amounts of some endocannabinoids inside the colon itself.
