Cannabis Culture journalist Pete Brady, arrested in January because he visited Kubby's home doing research for a cover article (see CC#18, Candidate Kubby), has beaten all state and federal charges against him. Officials admitted that Brady's arrest was a mistake, that officers acted improperly, that the 54 grams of marijuana seized from him were medicinal, and that other plants seized from him were not peyote cacti, as had been alleged.
Brady demanded that his medicine (or its cash value) be returned to him, and is planning legal actions against the officers who arrested him, and against Butte County.
