Does misting plants with a carbonated water (no sodium) help with the C02 thing?

Yes it does. Seltzer contains water with dissolved CO2. When it is sprayed on the plants it is absorbed by the leaves for a little while and if there is not a lot of ventilation the parts per million of CO2 is increased in the immediate area surrounding the leaf. To be effective, this should be repeated several times a day.

This method of raising CO2 levels can get expensive with large plants and also increase humidity to undesirable levels. It is most efficiently used with seedlings and young post-cloning vegetative starts.
