Small guilty of medical pot

Compassion club grower sentenced

Bill Small, who grew medical marijuana for Vancouver's Compassion Club, was in court on March 10 for his sentencing hearing.
Small is a former member of the Compassion Club's board of directors, was instrumental in its development, and took a loss on supplying the club with inexpensive, quality marijuana (see CC#24 Bill Small pleads guilty).

Small received a $3000 fine and 12 months probation for his role in the medical marijuana grow operation in Roberts Creek, British Columbia.

He and lawyer John Conroy intend to appeal the sentence.
