Owner of Vinyl Exchange faces prosecutor's appeal to have bongs returned

Mike Spindloe, owner of Vinyl Exchange, a pipe, bong and record store in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, will be in court again on April 3, 2000 (see CC#20).
Even though he was initially found guilty of selling paraphernalia under 462.2 of the criminal code, he is facing an appeal by the prosecutor.

The lower court judge ruled that although Spindloe was guilty of selling pipes and bongs, it was not illegal to possess them, and ordered his seized stock returned by police. The police and prosecution would like to see that decision reversed.

For his part, Spindloe will be appealing the judge's finding of guilt for selling the smoking equipment when he goes to court in April.
