"Mary Ellen Hernandez, director of the Rio Grande Safe Communities Coalition in El Paso, across the border from blood-soaked Ciudad Juarez, said she worried that decriminalization would lure Americans into a drug world they aren't prepared for and increase violence on both sides of the border.

'Already, the drugs that don't come over into the U.S. are being handed out by dealers to younger and younger children [in Mexico], 8, 9, 10-year-olds, hooking them,' said Hernandez, whose agency specializes in drug prevention. 'And then [the youths] steal to feed the habit.'"

Now you sure as hell don't see this with alcohol and tobacco, do you??? And why is that? BECAUSE THEY ARE LEGAL, TAXED, and *** REGULATED ***.

Decriminalization will FAIL. The ONLY solution to the problems Mexico and the US face (which are CAUSED by prohibition) is LEGALIZATION, TAXATION, and REGULATION. PERIOD. End of story.

* Vote for politicians that understand this and who support ending prohibition of drugs.

* Contact every politician in your state, from congressmen and women to your mayor, governor, and state representatives. Tell them that you support ending drug prohibition because it is the ONE TRUE SOLUTION to the problem.

Drugs were never a problem for society until society made criminals out of responsible drug users. Prosecute real law breakers, not responsible users.
