The only negative point about pot mentioned is that pot smokers don't tend to do very well. But then again, some pot smokers are far ahead of the curve. Regardless, pot smokers will continue to smoke pot, so harsher penalties compared to under age drinking will do little to discourage it.
I'm sure people that get arrested for drunken assaults etc do much worse than those that smoke pot.
