Here in b.c. the schools are independent of canadian laws. They can make up their own parameters and there is no recourse. Kids are kicked out, transferred and damaged for life through the isolation and condemnation of the schools over them smoking a joint. Alcohol kills pot does not. The system does not allow kids a second chance or educate them except in isolation and rejection. Where does that lead? To depression, hopelessness and suicidation. The schools are in the business of moulding kids and should do so. Terrible, terrible actions on the part of so called educators.
