Air layering

<image0>Will an air-layered cutting be truer to the mother than one that is cut and rooted separately from the plant?

GWS,
Omaha, Nebraska

Most of the time the method used to make clones is to cut a branch tip and then root it. Another vegetative method is called air layering. The advantage to air layering is that the clone grows roots while it is still on the plant, so it doesn't undergo as much trauma as an unrooted cutting.

Bad timer, two weeks to go

Before the light accident the plants had only two weeks of flowering until ripening. Should I harvest immediately or continue to flower them out?
Webcan Man,
Internet

The accident has set the plants back a week or ten days but it has not ruined the buds. It may have given them a little stretch.

The arrests were based on two federal investigations: Operation Pipe Dreams in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and Operation Headhunter in Des Moines, Iowa.
But the scope was "extra jurisdictional." In other words, the busts spanned America. Across the nation, 2,000 federal, state and local officers had swept down on unsuspecting business people.

An air pump holsters two airstones.
I cut six 4-inch-diameter circles in the top. I grew my plants in soil first until they put out their first set of true leaves. Then I placed them in 4-inch-diameter plastic cups with many holes cut at the bottom.

Literature, like marijuana growing books or magazines, such as Cannabis Culture and High Times, are the "window dressing." They call them first Amendment materials, or reading paraphernalia.

Hay with no potency

The potency isn't very good, either. I tried growing several varieties because I thought it could be just bad genes but that didn't help. What is my problem?
I have a strain that I developed by crossing two strains that did well and that were my favorites. I grow it each year using seeds I produced the previous year. Last year the police raided my main patch. I was left with nothing but males and hermaphrodites. I crossed my most vigorous hermies with the best male and have them growing at a new location.

Dave, Chicago, Illinois

Many marijuana varieties, including most sativa-indica hybrids, can be regenerated quite a few times. Anecdotally, one person grew a large plant in the southfacing window of his apartment building and harvested the plant in the late fall.
