I've been smoking weed for 23 years. Two years ago I became very sick with flu-like symptoms: sore throat, headache and fatigue. I saw many doctors and specialists who ran dozens of tests.
Many tests and $50,000 later, they still couldn't figure out what my problem was. They thought I might have Lyme disease, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, allergies or depression.

On August 19, Cannabis Culture publisher Marc Emery was sentenced to 92 days in jail for passing a joint.
Emery had been convicted of trafficking because a witness saw him pass a joint in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, in March 2004.

Emery is still in jail as this article is being written, but is scheduled for release on October 19, which would be after serving 62 days behind bars.

Flowering an indoor-outdoor plant

I germinated a seed I found while cleaning. The plant is three months old, about a foot high (I pinched/dwarfed it) and bushy. It smells like very strong skunk. Each morning I set it outside and I bring it in each night. I didn't think the plant would get this far, but now I want to finish the job. The plant isn't flowering. What do I do to make it flower?

As the US election drew near, med-pot legalization swept the US, but faced many challenges.
Voters in Alaska and Montana were able to vote on med-pot legalization on November 4, after this issue went to press. Petitioners had collected the required number of signatures to put their issue on the ballot, and we will announce the election results next issue.

Multi-vitamins for plants

Would a multi-vitamin containing trace elements including calcium, magnesium and zinc be all right to use for fertilizing plants? I was thinking of powdering a few tablets with a mortar and pestle, then mixing it into the fertilizer solution. I figure the elements will be in a readily absorbable form.

What is pH? This is a question that usually makes new growers scratch their heads and reach for the pipe. But it's not really all that complicated. pH describes the level of alkalinity or acidity of a given thing, in this case the liquid nutrient solution you use to grow your joy.
The pH scale starts at zero and rises to 14. A value of 7.0 is considered neutral, with values over 7.0 being alkaline and values below 7.0 being acidic.

Also, this year's largest bust in El Paso, Texas, came when customs agents pulled over an 18-wheeler attempting to cross the border with 3,500 pounds of marijuana hidden in lettuce and strawberries.

Keeping up with the Joneses can be difficult with the cost of utilities going through the roof.
Last June an English couple were sentenced to 3.5 years in jail after being busted for growing in two separate homes. Perhaps they spent all their loot partying, because they hadn't paid their gas bill for months and were stealing electricity. When the utility companies arrived to settle the score, they discovered the grow operations, and the two were busted.

Resprouting buds

Just before we were about to harvest our crop of Super Skunk x Big Bud, the buds started sprouting these individual buds, mostly from the top. Within a matter of days, what were once nice tight hard buds were all open and leafy. The whole crop was ruined. What happened?

I have eight 1,000-watt lights in a 200 square foot room. When they are on, the room reaches 90-100?F (32-38?C). Two tubes, six inches and eight inches in diameter, supply fresh air to the room, and a 12-inch tube is used for exhaust. A small window air conditioner also cools the room. With four lights on, the maximum temperature is 76?F (24.5?C).

In Butler, Pennsylvania, June was harvest time for a man who had a large grow operation in his shed, a time when you would usually expect people to lie low. Yet in the middle of the night, while he cut down plants and trimmed buds, a screaming match erupted from his house, alerting cops who quickly filed for a warrant.
