Blocking pot's effects

<image0>The US National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) is developing a way to chemically block the effects of cannabis. A "cannabinoid receptor antagonist" with the poetic name of SR141716 has been shown to produce a dose-dependent block against toking up.
A study published in the Archives of General Psychiatry detailed how 63 men received a dose of SR141716 or a placebo, and then smoked pot two hours later. The more SR141716 they received, the less the pot affected them.

The Senate still had to vote on the bill, but no one could remember the last time that the Senate ? an unelected "house of sober second thought" ? hadn't rubber stamped everything that passed through parliament.

The report, released on March 14, also criticizes Britain's Medicines Control Agency for making it more difficult than necessary for drug companies to produce cannabis-based medicines, and recommends that marijuana be rescheduled from a schedule 1 to a schedule 2 drug, to facilitate research.

Is it the heat or the brilliance that is detected?

Krieger, 46, who has multiple sclerosis, had been charged with one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking. He admitted growing 29 pot plants in his home in August 1999, saying that the crop was for distribution through his Universal Compassion Club.

Clones can be taken almost anytime. Cloning of young plants and old but vegetatively growing plants is well established. However, plants can be cloned even when their buds are nearly ripe. They can be converted back into vegetative growth at the same time by placing them under a regimen of continuous light.
