Protest Vic "With Us or With the Child Pornographers" Toews Today in Vancouver

Vic Toews, the guy who told Canadians they are "with the child pornographers" unless they support the government's plan to spy on the Internet habits of all citizens, will be in Greater Vancouver today. So will protesters.

Toews will be hosting a $150-a-plate Conservative fundraiser at the River Rock Casino in Richmond, B.C. and protesters are planning to greet him outside from 5:30 - 6:30 PM.

Vic, his buddy Prime Minister Stephen Harper, and the Conservative majority have introduced several bills that have many Canadians concerned – including C-10, which would enact mandatory minimum sentences for non-violent marijuana crimes, and C-30, which has caused the latest uproar over internet spying.

On Monday, Toews set off a virtual bomb in the House of Commons that spread like a firestorm to the internet and mainstream media. Telling Canadians they should support the Conservatives internet spying plans, he said people "can stand with us or with the child pornographers".

To add further insult to injury, Toews afterward claimed on television he didn't make the comment.

Toews behaviour and the Conservative bills have rightfully insulted and upset many Canadians, sparking protests like the one today at the River Rock.

If you live in the Vancouver area and want to tell Toews and the Conservative how you feel about their latest attempts to control, manipulate, spy-on, allow the torture of, and imprison Canadians, join us today between 5:30 - 6:30 PM (or meet up early for brainstorming and sign-making).

Find out more about today's protest on the event's Facebook Page.

The River Rock's address is 8811 River Road in Richmond. The location is easy to get to on the SkyTrain! Here's the map:

evil scum

Somebody should tell Toews hes a evil reptilian clown, he's probably a child rapist just like the rest of the government, pretty sure if we stand with you, Vic Toews, were standing with a pathetic child pornographer. We should be discussing how to lock up the evil sadistic government, not more human beings. Pretty disgusting state of affairs Canada has been taken into by Harper and his evil clown pack.

Who Watches The Watchmen?

Stephen Harper, Rob Nicholson, John Baird and Vic Toews are fascists and would turn our country into an Orwellian nightmare! They should be tarred and feathered, then banished from Canada!

CANNABIS CULTURE - Mainstream media companies have a habit of framing issues in a way that helps their corporate or political masters, and Canada's public broadcaster is no exception. Take, for example, the video clip below. In their report, CBC journalists never ask if we actually need medical marijuana growing inspectors, they just parrot the police and government line claiming we do, and assume it is true.
