Fourth Ontario Cannabis Culture Location Raided by Police

POT TV – Police raided another Cannabis Culture marijuana dispensary location yesterday – at 365 King Street West in Toronto – shuttering the location and arresting four staff members. The location opened for business again this morning.

This is the fourth raid of Cannabis Culture locations in Ontario since police began a crack-down on cannabis dispensaries, known as Project Claudia.

Two other CC locations in Toronto were raided in June and August and reopened immediately. CC’s Peterborough location was raided in September and remains closed.

Four staff members at the King Street location were detained by police at the location for over an hour then arrested and taken away by authorities in a paddy wagon.

Police seized stock and store computers and even personal computers of staff members.

All four staff members were released this morning and required to sign forms promising they would not work at Cannabis Culture again and are facing charges.

Despite the arrests, Cannabis Culture on King Street is again open for business today.

“Getting busy at the raided-last-night-but-never-gonna-close @cannabisculturestore 365 King St West after our Re-open today, Cannabis Culture founder Marc Emery wrote on his Facebook page. “Open 11-11, come and support; buy a few grams like a free citizen in a supposedly free nation. How ironic that 4 US states legalized on the same days as Toronto cops were doing their fascist barbarians of the drug war thing.”

Marijuana dispensary raids continue across Canada despite Justin Trudeau’s promise to legalize pot, with the latest rounds of closures and arrests in Ottawa.
